LTE+NR EU
The LTE+NR distributed base station is a hybrid solution designed for both outdoor and indoor environments, combining 4G LTE reliability with 5G NR high-speed capabilities. It connects to the mobile core network via fixed broadband or dedicated backhaul, ensuring flexible and cost-efficient deployment. The system comprises a centralized baseband unit (BBU), an extension unit (EU) for signal distribution, and remote radio units (RRUs) for localized coverage, supporting key LTE bands (e.g.,B3/B7/B40) and 5G NR frequencies (n41/n78/n79) to meet global spectrum requirements. This architecture enables seamless coexistence of LTE and NR technologies, allowing dynamic resource sharing and smooth migration from 4G to 5G. By deploying RRUs strategically, it delivers precise deep coverage and enhanced capacity in challenging environments like urban hotspots, industrial facilities, or dense indoor spaces. The hybrid design optimizes costs by leveraging existing LTE infrastructure while introducing 5G capabilities, reducing macro network congestion through intelligent traffic offloading."
